Biratnagar has welcomed its first ever five star hotel biratnagar with the launch of Lemon Tree Premier, Biratnagar. Located at Bhirkuti Chowk, this internationally affiliated luxury hotel officially began operations on Thursday, marking a major milestone in the city’s hospitality sector.

The hotel has been established by four young entrepreneurs—Manoj Bikram Shah, Bikas Chaudhary, Kabin Shrestha, and Prashant Tated—who have invested approximately NPR 2 billion in the project. Built on seven kattha of land, the six-story hotel features 80 well-equipped rooms designed to meet international standards.
The property offers a wide range of premium facilities, including a banquet hall with a capacity of up to 2,000 guests, multiple restaurants, a swimming pool, spa, and gym hall. These amenities make it suitable for both luxury stays and large-scale events.
According to director Shah, the hotel has created direct employment for around 80 Nepali staff, along with a few Indian professionals. Operated under Lemon Tree Hotels Ltd., the brand already has a presence in Kathmandu and Chitwan, with another property set to open soon in Bandipur.
