A one-day orientation program on eye and ear health at the metropolitan level was concluded today. The orientation program was held at the seminar hall of the Biratnagar Eye Hospital located in Biratnagar-13.
The orientation was attended by Dilip Kumar Yadav, head of the health department of the Biratnagar metropolitan, Ramesh Karki, and 24 representatives from all health centers in Biratnagar.

The event was organized and managed by the Biratnagar Eye Hospital under the Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh and the Lahan Eye and Ear Treatment System. The orientation aimed to enhance the capacity of all health workers in health centers under the metropolitan city regarding comprehensive treatment methods related to eye and ear health. The organizers hope that this will help raise awareness about the sensitivity of the eyes and ears and ensure quality treatment for all residents of the city.
The training in today’s orientation was conducted by Sudhir Kumar Thakur, the chief administrator of the Lahan Eye and Ear Treatment System, Dr. Rabin Acharya, Dipendra Chaudhary, and Suraksha Paudel. The training program was initiated by hospital manager Kumar Prithu.
The hospital has been conducting eye and ear treatment camps in schools across Morang and Sunsari districts. In these camps, free glasses, medicines, or surgeries are provided to children as needed.
