The Biratnagar Metropolitan has initiated a Free Ambulance service for its residents. This complimentary service is available for pregnant women, senior citizens aged 70 and above, individuals with disabilities holding red and blue cards, and low-income residents living within the metropolitan limits. For other residents of Biratnagar not falling into these categories, there is a nominal fee of Rs 300. Please note, the ambulance does not cater to patients from outside Biratnagar. However, if there’s a need to transport a patient outside the city, a fee determined by the District Ambulance Service Fee Determination Committee will be applied.
